This thesis on creative works takes my personal religion as the main theme of my creation when studying at the graduate school. With The Bible as the foundation, the study explores the relationship between my religious belief and creation. Chapter One is the motive and purposes of my works. The chapter explores my life experience of christian religion, which becomes the motive and foundation of my creation, depicting numerous animals in nature and praising the mystery of God’s creation. Through the works I present what was written in The Bible that God inspires human beings through animal symbolic images. Chapter Two is the theoretical foundation. The chapter studies the plans and purposes of our Creator in The Bible in creating all things of the world. It reviews the value of my existence, clarifies the meaning of religion for my works, and expresses my viewpoints towards christianism. It also explores the inspirations and guidance of God through the sufferings of various things encountered by Job in his life, as indicated in “The Book of Job.” The chapter also makes in-depth studies of the biblical prefiguration of animals and inspiration on the lives of mankind, and meanwhile reexamines how God is currently leading the author. The chapter studies how the saints of the early days used images to transmit the prefigurations of the sacred text, investigating the history and hermeneutic way in transforming words to be images. My creative process thus includes taking related images from The Bible as its main theme. Chapter Three is the ways and techniques of my creation. Taking animal symbolism in nature as major themes of my creation,I realize the mystery of God’s creation and explore how the prefigurations of animals in The Bible inspired mankind in their lives. My creative process was just the similar process that I contacted God. Especially in act of praying, the relationship with God has to be correct and single-minded. Therefore, in selecting of material as the medium of creation, pencil was the tool used at the very beginning.I adopted fine sketch, which demands high concentration, as the core technique of creation, and this technique exactly matched with my concentrated status with God when praying to Him. Besides,I attempted ink as another medium for my creation,by which difficult for any correction. It meant that my creative process required greater concentration, which is more matched with my state of mind when praying to God. Chapter Four is the explanation of my works. The chapter analyzes my creative ideas and forms of works during my studying at the graduate school, including serial works: Experience in Xanadu, Hidden Mystery I, Hidden Mystery II, Hidden Mystery –– Sparrow, Hidden Mystery –– Pigeon, Hidden Mystery –– Sheep, Hidden Mystery –– Hawk. Chapter Five is the conclusion. The chapter concludes various creative ideas of my works when studying at the graduate school and prospects my direction of creation in future.
