Postal Service is already over a hundred years old. Taiwan area business started from Liu Ming Chuan, Governor of Taiwan, dated 14th year of the reign of Guangxu,Qing Dynasty (1888 AD), 21st February, announced 「Taiwan Post Clause 16」and established Taiwan Post Central Office. 21st year of the reign of Guangxu, Qing Dynasty (1895 AD), Taiwan was reigned by Japan after the Sino-Japanese War. The Mail Ordinance and legislature was implemented to ensure postal service to progress with society. As of 92nd year of the Republic of China (1st January 2003), legislature was passed to establish Chunghwa Post Limited (referred to as Post from this point onward). There are 1,322 self-operatinginstitution and 1,232 agency institution, with a total of 2,554 operating instituations, servicing 368 townships; despite remote locations such as Yushan, Ali-Shan and inter-villages, areas where there were no resident financial institutional services, one can still see the footprint of Postal Service, based on the chartered vision 「Postal Service company that is trusted by the people and delivers service excellence」 Postal Service manages real estate on a national basis, with a value of New Taiwanese Dollar 65,100,000,000, with approximate construction value of New Taiwanese Dollar 1,680,000,000,approximateconsolidated fixed asset New Taiwanese Dollar 81,900,000,000;The possibility of effective activation and development of real estate, renting out unutilized space, would thus increase Postal Service rental revenue and national reserve revenue. This report provides an in-depth analysis of Postal Service real estates based on governmental policy, reviewing the results of Asset activation of organization, schools and nongovernmental units.
