The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of the Marine Education Implementation Plan in Elementary schools in Hsinchu County. This study adopted the survey method with a questionnaire. The subjects totaled 657 samples who are teachers randomly drawn from in elementary schools in Hsinchu County. This study discussed the current status of the Marine Education Implementation Plan in four parts, including “the mode in organization operation”, “material design ”, “teacher professional development”, and “network resources” .Besides, not only focus on the current status but also problem and solutions. The statistical analysis results are summarized as follows: 1. The elementary school teachers in Hsinchu County have medium level of achievement in the Marine Education Implementation Plan. 2. The most difficult thing in Marine Education Implementation Plan is that “ Teachers are lack of sufficient time to teach Marine Education because of lots of activities in original curriculum.” 3. Most of teachers agree on the solution is that“Teachers and students could experience ocean activities with a field trip.” 4. There is a significant difference among background variable perception toward current status of the Marine Education Implementation Plan , including in age, years of service, position, workshop hours, the area of school and school size. 5. There is a significant difference among background variable perception toward difficulties of the Marine Education Implementation Plan , including in age, years of service, position, workshop hours, the area of school and school size. 6. There is a significant difference among background variable perception toward difficulties of the Marine Education Implementation Plan , including in age, years of service, position, workshop hours, the area of school and school size. According to the results, the suggestions were made for education administrative institution, the elementary schools and future studies, hopefully providing references.
