The purpose of this study is to understand the current situation of food and agricultural education in Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City and Miaoli County. Furthrmore, we also explore the differences among viewpoints, methods, students' impact, difficulties faced by school facaulties and ways of improvements in Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City and Miaoli County. In order to achieve the goal of the study, we conducted a questionnaire on school faculties of areas of Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City and Miaoli County. The questionnaire is self-compiled on the implementation of the food education. A total of 698 questionnaires were issued, 652 were recovered and 639 valid questionnaires were collected. The recovery rate was 93.41%. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test and single factor variance analysis. Based on the above results, this study comes to the following conclusions: 1.Elementary school teachers agree highly with the implementation of food and agricultural education. 2. In the case of elementary school teachers on the implementation of food and agricultural education, based on school locations, implementations of the current situation, the degree of the participation of training courses of food and agricultural education is significantly different. 3.In the case of gender, the implementation of the current situation, the participation of training courses of food and agricultural education, there is a significant difference in the recognition of the implementation of food and agricultural education. 4.There is a significant difference in the degree of recognition of the impact of the implementation of food and agricultural education on students’ learning in the case of gender, school size and implementation of the current situation. 5.School size, the implementation of the current situation and the participation of training courses of food and agricultural education in the case of difficulties faced by elementary school teachers on the implementation of food and agricultural education show a significant difference. 6. In the implementation of the current situation and the participation of training courses of food and agricultural education in the case of elementary school teachers on the implementation of food and agricultural education to ways of improvements, there are significant differences. Finally, according to the results of the study, we have come up with suggestions as references to educational administration, schools and future research.
