This essay will be the narrative of my art works among 2016 to 2019, that present a series of plots based on my sister’s ballet dance. Through aestheticism of ballet and the cost that my sister paid, the construction of contextual fantasy encounters transformation of my life experiences and her cognition.
In the first chapter, “Introduction”, I’ll explain the research motives, methods and objects. In the second chapter, “Context narration”, I’ll explain the traits of works in my college period, I’ll examine reasons for the ballet topic and its influence on my paintings, and illustrates the transformation of my interpretation of aestheticism in life. Also, I’ll construct the world of paintings through the reading of Charles Pierre Baudelaire’s expression on “painful beauty and silent violence” in his poetry and Shadow Dance by Angela Carter. In the third chapter, “Plot construction”, I’ll review forms and contents of aestheticism artists’ that have used as well as having a self-talk with my own works. Furthermore, this essay will observe and analyze the structure and content of the pictures by the aestheticism artists and takes them as reference for configuration of my own works. I’ll also explain the transition of my techniques, demonstrate the disposal of oil colors dripping and background texture, describe the classical realist techniques, and explain the orders of creation. In the fourth chapter, “The discourse of Her Aestheticism and the Cost”, I’ll articulate the meaning and interpretation of the elements and graphic symbols respectively from series of my works: Daily Life, Ballet Fantasy, and The Happy Blue Bird. Last, in the fifth chapter, “Conclusion”, I’ll draw on a conclusion of this essay.
