Hsia-Yun Elementary School is locating at far away from civilization, the developing featured curriculum was elected the Excellent Teaching Gold Award, at the meantime, Hsia-Yun Elementary School also turned into an allied educational tour school. This project is based on Hsia-Yun Elementary School as team of supreme quality award in 2010 as an individual research, exploring the process of developing excellent teaching curriculum, difficulties and how to make a break through. Via interviews with the Principal and the Director at the time, to conduct data collection and unification, and document analysis that I would like to present the research results at below, 1. The operational situation of the developing Curriculum: According to the motivation of policies and constructing the school fame as developing curriculum, the local teachers decided themes for curriculums, and those teachers who participated developing curriculums had changed their attitude from not supporting into supporting. Developing curriculum with regards to schools, teachers and communities are substantive effective but there are still some parts are able to improve. 2. The encountered challenge and break through methods of the Curriculum.: The difficulties of developing Curriculum are due to insufficient identity among the developing curriculum, low participating desires, inadequate herb knowledge, lacking innovative teaching abilities, the curriculum had affected and disturbed the formal curriculums, uneasy to control the curriculums difficulties levels, without enough finance support and parents and communities coordination willingness are downcast; The methodology of break it through could be transparent illustration, encouraging positive behaviors between teachers, assisting by core groups, professional growth, curriculums fusion, sorting curriculums’ levels, searching for external resources and parenting education as solutions. 3. The set-up process of the Team: Besides of leader and core groups in the team, it also used core groups properly to recruit members. The team work with growing steps made perfectly, mission achievements are also over expected. The team missions communicating implementation and working coordination are clean, it is with well supportive abilities, also looking for external supports. 4. The professional growth of teachers participated the team of supreme quality award: At the very beginning, teachers are under completely incomprehension among herbal knowledge, the excellent teaching curriculums promotion has becoming burden, it brought the negative influences on the professional growth. Eventually, they harvested different results from Excellent Teaching Curriculums are not only limited in curriculums, but also with methods starting from middle schools. Each team member has ability to consider their personal professional growths and eligible to make some changes. 5. The successful factors and sustainable development of team of supreme quality award:The curriculums development and teaching realization are succeed including different factors, namely, teachers, curriculums and the Principal; Also including members, sufficient resources and clear objectives. The main advantage of Hsia-Yun Team differs relatively from other reams is members’ characteristics. Team members are willing to proceed on the developing curriculum team. According to results, in connected with Educational Administrative Authorities, schools, teachers and to propose suggestions for project in the future. |
