This thesis is about the author’s glassblowing art from 2017-2018, it is also a presentation of his 6 years’ glassblowing achievement. He received an initial training of glassblowing in Hsinchu traditional glass mills for 2 years during graduate school. In order to improve his glassblowing skills, he headed to Japan and learned from the Master, Kenta Yasui. By combining the aesthetics and traditional glassblowing methods, he expects himself to be able to create with self-style.
“Piece of my mind” is a series that projected the author’s innermost by integrating the elements of sceneries into his artworks. Beginning with praising of nature and commiserating environmental destruction, he then revealed his feelings and life based on the sceneries. Since everyone owns different feelings while looking at the same view, the author discovered a set of harmonizing colors scheme to express inner feelings, created a novel glass art and shared feelings with his audiences.
Glassblowing is an art that is about to disappear in Taiwan. The author look expect himself to discover and create more possibilities for Taiwan Glass Art. In addition to search for new creative concept, he will constantly create and learn new methods on color and shapes, and to develop a modern art of glass blowing.
