本研究旨在探討男同志帕斯堤創傷後壓力症、獨處能力與憂鬱之關係。以北部確診愛滋病毒至少1個月以上之男同志成年人為研究對象，並以創傷後壓力症量表、獨處能力量表、流行病學研究中心之憂鬱量表為測量工具，共收集388份有效問卷。將所收集的問卷資料以描述統計、單因子變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關分析、逐步多元迴歸分析之統計方法進行分析。主要的研究結果如下：
一、男同志帕斯堤呈現創傷後壓力症佔33%，憂鬱傾向佔44.6%。
二、男同志帕斯堤感受比較強烈創傷後壓力症者包含20-29歲及50歲、性別認同光譜明確認定自己是男性者、性行為對象是雙性者，以及得知感染後，曾在身心科就診者。
三、男同志帕斯堤之學歷越高獨處能力越高；另外，無告知任何人感染愛滋病毒者的獨處能力比較高。男同志帕斯堤憂鬱感受較強者包含50歲以上、高中以下學歷、服藥曾經中斷、固定生活伴侶與性伴侶皆無者、曾至身心科就診者、及運動頻率偏低者。
五、創傷後壓力症的四個分量表侵入性創傷經驗再體驗、持續逃避、負面的認知及情緒、警覺性及反應顯著改變與憂鬱總分存在中高度正相關。
六、獨處舒適感與創傷後壓力症的總分和四個分量表皆有顯著的負相關，表示提升獨處舒適，可以降低創傷後壓症的程度。
七、警覺性及反應顯著改變（PTSD之分量表）、負面的認知及情緒（PTSD之分量表）、學歷、及運動頻率可有效預測憂鬱總分，以及憂鬱的四個分量表，其中警覺性及反應顯著改變的解釋力明顯高於其他預測因子。
最後，根據本研究結果，提出對實務研究相關建議。

This study aimed to explore the relationships among post-traumatic stress disorder, the ability to be alone and depression in men with HIV-positive in Taiwan. 388 men with HIV-positive for at least 1 month were recruited. The PTSD scale, the ability to be alone scale and the CES-D Scale of the Center for Epidemiological Research were adopted to collect data. The major findings were as follows:
1. 33% of men with HIV-positive reported post-traumatic stress disorder and 44.6% of them showed depression disposition.
2. There were significant differences of post-traumatic stress disorder between different age groups, different sex identity spectrums, and with/without consulting the psychiatrist.
3. There were significant differences of the ability to be alone between different education groups. Furthermore, significant differences of depression were found between different age groups, education groups, with/without regular sex companion, with/without regular exercises, and with/without consulting the psychiatrist.
4. Four subscales and total score of the PTSD correlated positively with depression.
5. Four subscales and total score of the PTSD correlated negatively with solitary comfort.
6. Marked alterations in arousal and reactivity (subscale of PTSD), Negative alterations in cognitions and mood (subscale of PTSD), education, and with/without regular exercises could effectively predict depression.
