Since the development of modern poetry in Taiwan, it has presented a variety of appearances, often attracting readers of different reading orientations with the environment, time and space and other factors, some readers prefer works that attach importance to aesthetics, and some prefer poems that can reflect social reality and focus on narrative. This article attempts to analyze a writing mentality called "world-weary", using world-weary writing, written by authors born in the 1980s, stemming from the rise of the neoliberal economy and having serious global shocks within three decades. Taking advantage of the "generation-weariness" that emerged in 2017, the selected authors are young and middle-aged. Their works reflect the various difficulties faced by the generation-weary generation. The purpose is to explore the world-weary writing of modern poetry in the 1980s in the development of modern poetry in Taiwan.
