本研究以半導體自動化測試設備(ATE)製造商日商A公司併購美國半導體自動化測試設備製造商作為案例,探討日本企業併購美國企業時對員工態度、心理感受和行為的影響。研究分析了併購前後的管理風格、溝通方式、績效評估、會議文化差異以及英語能力的變化,並觀察這些變化如何影響公司內部的工作環境和員工感受。透過對公司有經歷過日商併購美商過程的資深員工的深度訪談,本文揭示了企業合併的磨合過程及其對公司長期發展的影響。研究顯示,儘管面臨初期的挑戰,但適當的管理策略和文化調整可以促進不同文化背景下的企業組織融合,並為未來類似併購案提供參考案例。
This research of the essay uses the case of A Company, a Japanese manufacturer of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), acquiring an American ATE manufacturer, to explore the cultural conflicts arising from Japanese companies acquiring American firms and their impact on employee attitudes and behaviors. The research analyzes changes in management style, communication methods, performance assessments, cultural differences in meetings, and English language skills before and after the acquisition, and observes how these changes affect the internal work environment and employee perceptions. Through in-depth interviews with company management and staff, this paper reveals the challenges of integrating corporate cultures and their impact on long-term corporate development. The study shows that despite initial challenges, appropriate management strategies and cultural adjustments can facilitate the integration of enterprises from different cultural backgrounds, providing strategic management recommendations for future similar acquisitions.
