This thesis examines the integration and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on employee training within the industrial private sector in Honduras, focusing on its acceptance and utility. The surge in AI interest, catalyzed by advancements and accessibility of AI technologies, presents a transformative opportunity for employee development. AI-driven training programs, tailored to individual learning styles and needs, offer a range of benefits including personalized learning experiences, real-time feedback, and adaptation to the evolving skills of the workforce, thereby enhancing performance and productivity.
The research involves a qualitative analysis through observations and case studies across five major companies in the Honduran sectors of food and packaging, textiles, and logistics. The study assesses how these companies utilize AI for employee training and the resultant impacts on company performance and market competitiveness.
The findings reveal that AI applications are multifaceted, spanning communication, documentation, project management, and creative endeavors, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. However, challenges such as data integration, dependency on specific customer requirements, and a general lack of familiarity with AI tools persist. Addressing these challenges through targeted training could increase AI adaptability and cybersecurity measures.
The thesis underscores the strategic importance of AI in workforce development, suggesting that companies embracing AI-enhanced training are more likely to retain top talent and achieve a competitive edge.
