Environmental protection is an urgent issue faced by society today, requiring the collaborative participation of individuals, organizations, and governments. This study explores the conflict between environmental protection and traditional folk cultural activities, using the example of the pig-raising ritual during the Zhongyuan Festival in Beipu Township, Hsinchu County. It investigates how to promote the innovation and sustainable inheritance of traditional culture in the context of modern society. The study emphasizes the importance of promoting sustainable inheritance at both the public sector and individual levels. Beipu Township's approach demonstrates how to retain cultural heritage while introducing public welfare activities, avoiding inhumane traditional practices, and enhancing the public welfare nature of the events. The research results show that effective communication and innovation can balance traditional culture with modern environmental protection needs, fostering awareness and participation in environmental protection within society. |
