At the end of 2019, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 had a profoundly disruptive impact on the world. Like a testing reagent for examining societies, it highlighted unique phenomena and challenges related to various social issues. This includes the rise and fall of micro-enterprises within Taiwan's cultural and creative industry clusters, a focal point of this study. Based on long term touching and a basic understanding of the cultural and creative industry, this research aims to explore the comprehensive resilience of industry entrepreneur in the face of the pandemic. The focus on micro-enterprises within the cultural and creative industry is driven by their cultural and social significance, especially in understanding how these entities navigate the crisis while balancing survival struggles and adherence to their ideals. What flexibility and resilience do they demonstrate?

This study is based on the theoretical framework of Husserl's phenomenology of the life-world, employing a qualitative research approach through phenomenological inquiry analysis. Involving interviews with eight entrepreneurs from two cultural and creative clusters, conducted over a period of nearly five months starting in December 2022. Following the completion of verbatim transcriptions of the interviews, the research method involved the extraction of various meaning units and transition to the inductive descriptive concepts. The participants included operators of cultural and creative clusters as well as micro-business entrepreneurs within the clusters, contributing their free narratives. Subsequently, a two-stage research analysis was conducted. Initially, the content of descriptive concepts was explored, structured along the three time stage : before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This analysis aimed to delineate how internal and external factors within and around cultural and creative clusters affected resilience. Interpretations were provided based on the characteristics of different cluster respondents, aligning with the three research objectives in the specified order. The study then progressed to the second stage of a threefold reduction analysis, tracing back from descriptive concepts to categories, factors, and super-factors. Relevant attributes were continuously extracted from each paragraph, ultimately allowing for the exploration of the underlying essence.

While resilience is inherent in individuals, this research reveals that the richness of the concept is far from simple. In the chosen field of cultural and creative domains, diverse interviewees, and the contextual backdrop of the pandemic, the study was able to present deeper meanings. The three emergent super-factors in the study are "achieving life freedom through self-practice," "enjoying harmonious social interactions," and "embracing the Aesthetics of Existence of resilient optimism."
