This thesis will focuse on the topic of "Memoires" series and watercolor painting as its major performance and research subjects It aims to practice the environment as seen through the mind and document the creative context and development of watercolor techniques during my master's degree’s program. The purpose of the study is to build self-awareness through this process of exploring ideas and reserving records of this period,further more,this study will, provide a clear creative context for future reference and reflection. There will be five chapters: In Chapter I , “Introduction”, I’ll explains the research motivation, objectives, and provides an overview of the research content. In Chapter II, "Mono aware" I’ll explore the inward exploration of "Mono aware" as the core concept. Artworks evolve with my life, with everything in the journey I’ll begin with the "Memoir" series that analyzes my own perspective and I’ll discusse the connection between life experiences and the aesthetic concept of "Mono aware" proposed by the Japanese aesthetician Yoshinori Ohnishi (1888-1959). Artists as my reference will be: Claude Monet (1840-1926), Chu-Shin, Li (1966-2019), Tetsuya Ishida (1973-2005), and Wei-Hsiang Lin (1983-).Through the analysis of their works based on characteristics of composition, color, and brushstroke, I’ll verify my own perspective of the way I view the world. Finally, based on the aforementioned exploration process, the reasons for considering "Mono aware" as a keyword for creation will be explained. Chapter III, “ Material and practice”, I’ll discuss the research and practice of painting media the characteristics of watercolor and tempera as well as my working methods. Through the presentation of the working process, I’ll explain the experimental process I conduct with watercolor, tempera, different painting boards with primers during this period. In Chapter IV, "Memoires" I’ll present the practical result of the "Memoires" series. This series will be divided into two sections: Vanishing and Possessing. Each one will be provid a detailed description of the conceptualization, the use of media, as well as record of the process. Finally, in Chapter V, "Conclusion" I’ll integrates the above context and, reviews the process of this stage, and conducts a retrospective analysis to build the foundation for the next chapter of my artistic life.
