In the era of advanced internet information, smart electronic products have become a fast way for everyone to obtain knowledge and information, and have also led to changes in reading behavior of people. The survey reports of government and non-governmental organizations, as well as the results of international PISA evaluations, all show that our country is still necessary to work hard to promote and establish a reading atmosphere, cultivate reading ability and build a solid national competitiveness. Since the related research in the past was mainly based on literature or questionnaire surveys on library systems, operating methods, activity. This research will be based on the statistical system from the National Library of Public Information, The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics of Executive Yuan the national statistics of Directorate -General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The demographic database, etc., extracts relevant statistical data of each county and city government from 2011 to 2019, and analyzes it with a regression model of panel data, taking the number of books per capita, the number of books borrowed per capita, and the per capita expenditure on newspapers, magazines and stationery as three dependent variables. The independent variables include number of public libraries, final accounts of book purchases throughout the year, book tour, number of promotional activities, computers for readers, number of tablets for readers, number of reading seats, number of new immigrants in Southeast Asia, education level, per capita 12 dimensions such as annual recurring income and population age are explanatory variables to explore the correlation between the two. The empirical research results found that the social and economic status, the number of libraries, promotion activities and computers for readers all showed a significant positive correlation, which can provide a reference for the government to promote reading policy planning. |
