本研究目的為探究台灣成年初顯期高敏感女性的自我概念發展經驗。本研究採敘事研究法,邀請三位年紀介於18-30歲的台灣成年初顯期之高敏感女性參與此研究,以半結構訪談蒐集資料,並以Lieblich等人 (1998) 的敘說研究方法進行文本分析。研究結果依序呈現 (1) 高敏感特質的浮現、(2) 高敏感特質對成長的影響、(3)調適高敏感特質的經驗、(4) 自我概念發展的變化、(5) 接納高敏感特質及與之和諧共處。研究參與者的高敏感特質影響其自我概念的發展,由初始不知原因地感到困擾與焦慮,漸漸學習理解自身擁有高敏感特質及了解其影響,認識及覺察高敏感特質後,轉為接納和共存,終能有效調適因應外界的刺激,並善用這些特質適應環境及協助自己成長。研究結果提供高敏感族群、父母、教師、社會大眾重要訊息,了解此族群的特質與反應,提供建議予諮商專業人員,協助高敏感個案有效因應及良好發展,也提供建議予未來研究者深入探究高敏感族群。
The purpose of this study was to explore self-concept of emerging adult women with highly sensitive temperament in Taiwan. A narrative research method was adopted. Three highly sensitive women, aged between 18-30 years old, were invited to participate in this study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. A narrative research method proposed by Lieblich et al. (1998) was adopted to analyze the data. The research results revealed (1) the emergence of individual high-sensitivity traits; (2) the impact of individual high-sensitivity traits on development; (3) individual adjustment of high-sensitivity traits; (4) the transformation of individual self-concept; (5) individual acceptance of and harmonious coexistence with high-sensitivity traits. The high-sensitivity traits of the participants affect the development of self-concept. Participants started from initially feeling troubled and anxious without knowing the reason; gradually learned to comprehend their high-sensitivity traits and the influences of these traits on them; recognized and realized their high-sensitivity traits, turned to acceptance of and coexistence with these traits, and finally were able to effectively cope with external stimuli, make good use of these high-sensitivity traits to grow and adapt to the environment. The results of this study provided information to high-sensitivity group, parents, teachers, and the public to understand the traits and reactions of this high-sensitivity group, offered suggestions for future researchers, and helped counseling professionals understand and assist this group to cope effectively and grow well.
