Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, the popularity of working from home has accelerated. In the future, working from home will also be a trend and a common form of work. This study examined the relationship between employees' psychological hardiness, professional isolation, work-family conflict, and relationship conflict when working from home. It also examined the moderating effect of access to communication enhancing technology. This study adopts a two-stage questionnaire survey method, the participants are the workers who have the experience of working from home, and the effective sample we collected is 151. The participants almost came from the information technology industry and semiconductor-related industries.
Hypotheses were tested with regression analysis. This study found that employees’ psychological hardiness significantly affects the employees’ sense of professional isolation. In addition, professional isolation has a positive and significant relationship with work-family conflicts and relationship conflicts. We have also found that access to communication enhancing technology can effectively regulate employees’ sense of professional isolation.
