The purpose of this study is to investigate the challenges and oppurtunities of intermarriage children where the parents are from Indonesia and Taiwan in terms of their science learning, as well as the differences between science education in Indonesia and Taiwan. Because of the numerous occurrences reported in Taiwanese media, society has negative stereotypes to women from Southeast Asia. These women are not only looked down upon, but they are also treated poorly by family members such as in-laws. This study used a qualitative method to gain in-depth insight by interviewing children from intermarriage family, two Indonesian teachers in Taiwan, and six Indonesian students at one of the universities in Taiwan. Data was collected through interviews of varying lengths. The acquired data was then evaluated qualitatively, including coding, classification, and theme results. According to interviews, new immigrant couples in Taiwan confront a variety of issues, including economic difficulties and verbal and physical aggression that extended to their child science learning. The research found bullying has little effect on student learning results for children from intermarried families. Neighbors have shown discrimination against the wife because of her Southeast Asian heritage, despite Taiwanese media having little effect on her husband's family. The husband resists bad behaviors and stands by his wife in the face of prejudice from in-laws and neighbors. Furthermore, Indonesian students in Taiwan have difficulties in physics courses due to significant educational discrepancies between Indonesia and Taiwan.
