隨著經濟發展與台商海外投資的成功，造就不少財富雄厚的企業經營者。隨著年齡的增長與事業的交棒，這些財富雄厚的企業家也漸漸感覺財富管理的重要性與必要性。因此，種種原因這些在海外的企業家大部分都選擇在境外做財富管理，也讓台資金融機構這些年來在其海外的獲利比重得於大幅增加，其重要性不可言喻。其亞太區金融產業也無不是將財富管理業務作為其核心業務，不斷的加強。但也因此而顯得特別的競爭。
本研究採用五力分析探討企業在面對市場時，如何分析買方議價能力、分析供應商議價能力、分析潛在進入者的威脅、分析替代品的威脅、分析現有競爭者的威脅，並結合顧客金字塔模型以發展出台灣金融業的財富管理業務之競爭策略。
本研究採用個案分析法，研究對象為臺灣主要金融業者之一，Y公司其在香港的財富管理業務發展發展歷史與策略，資料收集分析主要是透過當地管理規範等相關資料及數據資料收集分析，並與個案公司相關從業人士訪談，進行分析及歸納，探討其未來發展趨勢與展望，並做出結論與建議。

With the economic development and the success of Taiwanese businessmen's overseas investment, many wealthy corporate managers have been created. With the growth of age and the success of their careers, these wealthy entrepreneurs gradually feel the importance and necessity of their wealth management. Therefore, for various reasons, most of these overseas entrepreneurs choose to invest overseas, which also help Taiwan financial institutions to create a significant increase in the proportion of their overseas profits in recent years. The financial industry in the Asia-Pacific region also has adopted the wealth management business as its core business and continuously strengthened it.
This study uses the five-power analysis to discuss how companies analyze buyer’s bargaining power, supplier’s bargaining power, potential entrant threats, substitute threats, existing competitors’ threats, and customer pyramids when faced with the market competition. The model develops a competitive strategy for the wealth management business of the Taiwanese financial industry.
This research also applies the case analysis method. The research target is one of the major financial industry companies in Taiwan. I introduce the wealth management business development history and strategy in Hong Kong for company Y. I also analysis the relevant practitioners of company Y. Last, this article summarizes, discusses company Y’s future development and prospects, and make conclusions and recommendations.
