The dissertation primely researches the relations between texture materials and colors. During my master’s degree, I studied relevant theories and forms, and through writing and the creative painting progress developments, furthermore understand my own creativities in contexts and its possible future developments.
In the first chapter, “Introduction”, I’ll state research motives, research subjects, research methods, as well as relevant artists. It will furthermore explain the evolutionary developments of soil quality, visual color, and textures, in my creative process. In the second chapter,“Soil and Color”, I will analysis soil color scheme and vivid artificial color scheme. Comparing the application within soil color scheme and vivid artificial color scheme based on color theories with discussions of color charts and greyscale charts. Moreover, for the vivid artificial color scheme I reference the color usage in Impressionism and Fauvism, understanding both application in color symbolism as well as their relations within colors. In the third chapter, “Texture”, I will research material through techniques and implications within graphics, exploring and analysis into soil through materials and the usage methods of working procedures, referencing artists, Anselm Kiefer (1945-), and Hao-Lum Hung (1977-). Meanwhile,I will make a research to develop my own artistic creative procedure through experiments. I have understand the emotional energy in artworks by studying the Susanne Langer’s Feeling and Form .In the fourth chapter,“Chih Kan” , I’ll adopt the concept of planting as the practice of my creating. Series of artworks will be classified into “Nature” series, “Cities” series, “Neo Nature” series. All artworks in series’ will be analyzed individually and compared the similarity and differences within series’artworks. In the Fifth chapter, “Conclusion”, I’ll review the contents from the aforementioned four chapters to conclude the crucial experiences by each learning stage, then to establish my own personal artistic creativity in contexts, hence to provide myself a better vision for future possibilities.
