In 1987, a sophomore student who has no idea what his major department was about, for having a easier college life, he sign up a class which was about gemology. This stress-free course let this student have an interest in gems, also let him know more about the direction of finding jobs after graduation. After that, in 1989, this ignorant senior, interned at a jewelry trading company, began in selling gems at jewelry store. Thirty years have passed, 1989-2019, thirty years, from jewelry clerk to the owner of jewelry factory, from Taiwan to China. Along with the development of technology and the change in consumption habit, the jewelry industry has changed. However, from the rise of the internet to the interconnection of the internet, from e-commerce to “O2O” then to new retail, industry 2.0 to industry 4.0. The power of technology drives the jewelry tradition this century, must cater to the time. In the love of jewelry, this study relies on the development and current status of jewelry on both Taiwan and China. Discussion on the impact and change of the internet and technology progress on the retail industry, combined with the case analysis in “BLOVE” wedding ring custom center, to build a new retail of jewelry for the future.
