The Effect of National Army Welfare Policy on the Well-Being of Military Personnel: The Study of Kinmen Defense Command Abstract: This study mainly uses the officers and soldiers of the Kinmen Defense Command as the research topic to understand if salaries, annual leaves and the welfare system affect the sense of well-being of volunteer services, and thus adjust the future revision of the military unit through another analysis of semi-structured interviews. The R.O.C. military is now gradually being transformed from a conscription system to an enlisted system. In the process of this transformation, recruitment and retention have become the focus of military policy. This discussion shows the importance of personnel and that the national defense is based on people, and the military couldn't be built or maintained without dedicated soldiers. We analyze the real related problems in this study, and suggest that can be significant benefits for the military if we can adjust the system and upgrade retention welfare.
