To respond to the organizational streamlining of the national army and the drastic reduction of manpower, the police supervision system has been established to integrate guardianship service. The police supervision system not only improves the efficiency of manpower utilization, but also effectively prevents crimes and increase security. In addition, with the development of science and technology, the introduction of forensic technology into surveillance systems has become more mature, and therefore the demand for erecting police surveillance systems has been increasing year by year. However, the management and maintenance work cannot be streamlined after the system establishment. If the maintenance budget is fixed to ensure the proper rate, it is hard to ensure the system’s appropriate operation. Moreover, the police surveillance system often has a high failure rate due to windstorms, lightning strikes or human factors. Therefore, this study combines the first-hand interview data and the secondary data related to the police supervision system to conduct a case study of the military surveillance system of the Army. The study takes the Kinmen area as an example to explore how the maintenance and management measures of the police supervision system can cope with the difficulties faced by the Kinmen area. The study aims to contribute to the improvement of the system management level and the national security improvement. |
