Attracting and retaining the proper talents are vital in the global market. Taiwan government should face the issue of what keeps human resources and makes them competitive. As a human resources department in the corporation, in this era of deteriorating brain drain, how to assist the corporation in operating continuously and seizing outstanding talents has become a major subject. Whether the scale of company is big or small, manpower and budget allocated to human resources department is always limited. As a result, human resources department devotes so much effort and research on planning an effective and efficient retention strategy and maximizing the interest of the company. The purpose of this study is to explore how the compensation system, job characteristics, incentives, and benefits provided by the enterprise affects the employee's intention to stay. Hopefully this study could be used as a reference for enterprises to ensure maintaining its competitive advantage continuously. In this study, the questionnaire survey method was used. An online questionnaire was sent and a total of 411 valid questionnaires were received. Data statistics methods include descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The study found that: 1.Compensation system is in the middle degree of recognition, and paying the salary by the job is the best. 2.Job characteristics are moderately recognized, and the best in terms of work integrity. 3.Incentives are moderately identifiable and have the best inner incentives. 4.Benefits have a moderate positive correlation and the healthy benefits are the best. 5.Intention to stay is moderately correlated. 6.Compensation system, job characteristics and incentives are significantly positively correlated with the intention to stay. 7.The order of strength of the intention to stay from the strongest to the weakest is incentives, job characteristics, compensation system, and benefits. As reference for human resource department in making retention strategy, this study proposes suggestions that improve intention to stay.
