The semiconductor industry has been developed now for over 30 years, and given the fact now that this industry is well developed, competition is still extremely aggressive, with customer demand and requests of still growing, asking for better quality, greater yield, technology and delivery. Now most semiconductor companies are using the B2B model, which is totally different from the B2C model. The difficulties and solutions are different. Hopefully my personal experience working in semiconductor package technology and the education received by a NTHU MBA, together the concept of service integration, will help boost the value of company using quality discussion, and not just stay at the level of technology. In the development of theory, I will need to understand the whole assembly industry further and also the idea of proposing integrated solutions using positioning, simplifying, and integration, led by service for better arrangement of a company’s resources, eventually producing better efficiency of a company’s operations. One of the biggest problems all assembly houses are facing, caused by sophisticated factory operations, is the disorder of information delivering and its integration. These do not come from just one team, it needs many teams or many factories, even cross national culture coordination. The best idea is greater integrated service packed by a technical and service team outside the factory to coordinate that service. |
