We are facing global warming issues and energy resource shortage around the world; therefore, to develop renewable energy to reach environment-friendly is needed. The world has used conventional power for many years; however, in Taiwan, the land is limited, the density of population is high, and due to the development of technology industry, greenhouse gas emission is increasing.
When developing renewable energy, there are some policies to make the development in Taiwan well constructed; meanwhile, when facing public issues, problems would also appear. This paper will identify the key problem such as the cost of building solar energy facilities, electricity price, and limitation of land when developing renewable energy in Taiwan, in addition, talk about a case that relates to solar energy and also affect a lot in agriculture field. However, there are new technologies of solar panel being developed, and in this paper would also take a look from the way Japan in building solar panels in farmland.
