This paper examines how employees with affect-based trust with coworkers affect their perception of personal initiative and organizational citizenship behavior. The moderating role of affect-based trust with supervisor on the relationship between affect-bases trust with co-workers and personal initiative was also explored. Data was collected from 322 surveys which 49% were answered using English version and 51% using Chinese version. Hypotheses were tested with SEM via Mplus. Results support the relationships between individual affect-based trust with co-workers, personal initiative and organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, personal initiative mediates the relationship between individual affect-based trust with co-workers and organizational citizenship behavior. Moreover, individual affect-based trust with supervisor moderates the indirect effect of individual affect-based trust with co-workers and on organizational citizenship behavior through personal initiative.
