Total of twenty-four enterprises with emerged IoT application proposals were visited to conduct in-depth Interviews. Key factors affecting the system integration and application service were examined and derived from the result of these interviews. Development trend of the Taiwan IoT industry was also observed and discussed in order to formulate success strategy for domestic companies to develop into overseas market application. The study found the willingness of industry participation in the government driven MLIoT project is affected by several factors, including the government’s policy direction, formation of industry friendly laws and regulations, and better coordination between government departments and resources to reach a consensus.
