Chuchien Beiguan Troupe(竹塹北管藝術團; CBT) is a troupe of beiguan amateurs that was established relatively recently (2007), but it has nearly 30 years of talent accumulation and experience inheritance. The contemporary revival of traditional opera troupe often encounters many tension and compromise events in the modern stage space, and CBT is no exception. The problematic of this research is, what kind of operating mechanism has CBT developed in response to the changes of the general environment during the revival of traditional opera in the past three decades? What intangible cultural heritage conservation issues are reflected in this process of modern adaptation? This research will adopt the analytical approach of intangible cultural heritage philosophy, and use the method of fieldwork to discuss the establishment of CBT, the types of activities, the daily implementation of traditional opera and the adaptation of modern stage space. This study finds that the operation and development of CBT is based on its special establishment context, and it adapts its spatial identity and modern stage in a passive-to-active manner, reflecting the intangible cultural heritage conservation subject of multiple development possibilities. |
