If we track the development from old verses to regular verses, Hsieh Tiao, one of the famous poet of the Qi of Southern dynasties, must be mentioned by his contribution to innovate the rhyme and the structure of the poetry. The nature-and-capital he pictured had established a lyric model, which is usually discussed by the researchers. Most of the researchers focused on Hsieh Tiao’s writing skill to describe the scenery, which is imbued with his own emotion. But few researchers pay attention to the motive and the implied meanings of the emotion displayed in his lyric poems. Thus, by analyzing Hsieh Tiao’s background, political setting and social environment, the purpose of this research hope to clarify the emotion and the implied meanings in his poems of different official career, and examine the connection between Hsieh Tioa’s lyric poems and “serve physically and recluse psychologically poem”(吏隱詩)in Tang dynasty. By comparing to the tradition of lyric poems and the culture of recluse, this research try to provide another way to comprehend the comment which assumes Hsieh Tiao as the “Tang-Fong”(唐風)raiser.
